The Detroit Dark Red variant of beet microgreens have large green seed leaves with splotches of red, and dark red stems. This variant of beet is an all-time-favorite due to their sweet flavor and vivid colors. They taste mildly earthy, similar to beetroot mixed with spinach, and makes for a tasty addition to savory dishes. 

Detroit Dark Red beets are abundant in vitamins, minerals, and protein. The seedlings are also exceptionally rich in antioxidants which serves to promote anti-inflammatory effects in the body.

The seeds can also be sprouted in water, or grown into baby beet greens.
