Oakleaf lettuce produces nice tight rosettes of green lobbed oak leaf-shaped leaves. This group of lettuce differentiates itself from other varieties due to its thinner, softer leaves that also do not taste bitter. With a mellow, nutty and sweet flavor, oakleaf microgreens are perfect additions to any salad.
Green oakleaf lettuce is very one of the best varieties to grow for gardeners who are just starting out. Oakleaf lettuces are hardy and resistant to hot weather, and can be grown easily using a hydroponics setup. However, do note that lettuce requires a slightly lower EC (soil salinity) than other greens.
The seeds can be grown and harvested either as microgreens, baby vegetables, or even the adult lettuce plant. Red Oakleaf seeds are available as well.
